  • It has been reported that the Spanish National Police seized 900 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a container of fruit in the southern city of Cadiz. Allegedly, the drugs came from Colombia and three individuals were apprehended.
  • An article analyses the situation in the Philippines where there have been 2,528 drug-related deaths under the first months of President Rodrigo Duterte’ administration. Many countries have also faced drug problems; however, there have been alternative solutions such as decriminalization in Portugal and harm reduction in Switzerland.
  • A month-long investigation has exposed that drug lords are trafficking illegal substances such as cocaine and heroin in poor neighbourhoods in Harare, Zimbabwe. It has been identified that most of these drugs come from other African countries such as Namibia, Botswana, and South Africa.
