CRIMJUST complements the existing projects of the Cocaine Route Programme, with a stronger focus on criminal investigations and criminal justice cooperation in Latin American, Carribean and West African countries to enhance their capacity to effectively counter organised crime along the cocaine route.

The project facilitates cooperation and information exchange between criminal justice agencies for effective action in interregional organised crime and drug trafficking cases as well as help the targeted countries to advance in their response to organised crime.

The project also supports law enforcement and other justice sector institutions in strenghtening integrity, accountability and resilience against corruption and influence of organised crime.

The project is implemented by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in partnership INTERPOL and Transparency International.
